After all that fretting, I managed to:

1. Put together my schedule - Finalised only today at 4pm.

2. Pack my room - Well, it's not really completed. But am about 70% done.

3. Finish my work - Work can never be finished. So I did as much as I could and left office at 8+pm. What a mad rush!

On a separate note, whilst planning for Japan, I'm already starting to think of where to go next year. Perhaps:

1. Orlando - That is if the Harry Potter theme park is up by then.

For beach holidays, perhaps:

...in a rut.

Recently, I've been feeling that way.

Like I'm stuck in this dreadful place and not able to get out of it.

I think I just need time and space to sort things out with myself.

And hopefully, this horrible headache and nagging shoulder ache will go away.

This Friday's surprise trip for the boy can't be more timely.

And I look like I've got mee pok on my head now. :P

I'm tired of being me.

So I'm gonna do something to my hair and hopefully it might change the course that my life has been on.

Childish I know.

So do keep a lookout for what my hair will be like after tonight!

Though I myself am not sure what will happen. Have just told my stylist - think of what you want to do with it. :P

I wish my holiday hasn't ended.

Didn't shop that much. Bought a pair of boots (dirt cheap), black ballet flats, Puma "sneakers/flats", Mario Bros rubber bands (the boy insisted I get them) and a Prada bag.

Ate toooo much - lotsa roasted goose, roasted pigeon, wanton mee, mango dessert, other forms of dessert, lotsa snacks along the roadside stalls.

Mmmmmmm...

I wish I'm still on holiday. :P

It's Valentine's Day.

Somehow, as I grow older, Valentine's Day loses its meaning.

I'm working from home now. Mr Lee's at his client's office working.

It's been a year since Mr Lee and I met each other at WM's place.

I still love him as much, if not more.

It's been a year filled with ups and downs for us.

But overall, I must say it's been an awesome year.

2008 had been a better year than 2007. It didn't seem that long ago when I was doing a recap of 2007. Time flies doesn't it? I still remember when I was young, I can't wait for the new year to come. Now, I dread each new year cos it means I'm growing old! *faints* Honestly, I never thought this day will come. :P

Anyways, back to the point.

Reflection on 2008

Career
Well, I must say my career in 2008 had its ups and downs. Better than a plateau I must say, for it's only when there're ups and downs that I learn and grow, no? :)

I got a promotion in Feb, though I already expected it. :P Had some screw-ups at work in JUne which were my fault, and I was really upset with myself. To be honest, I haven't really gotten over it and I really need to! But I did a great job at a major event in Aug and I must say, that was one of the proudest, if not the proudest moment of my life! :)

Romantic Relationship
After a roller coaster emotional ride in 2007, I must say 2008 was a blessed one. I met the boy in Feb and though it wasn't a smooth ride, it's been great. He has a bad temper, which I'm still trying to learn to accept. But I do know he does dote on me.

Friends
I definitely have been neglecting my friends. What with my busy work schedule and the boy. I've lost some but I've also maintained close relationships with others. I guess the friendship aspect was like the recession, cleaning house. Retrenching some friends and keeping those who REALLY matter. It sounds harsh, but what with such work commitments and the boy, it IS a bit hard to be the social butterfly that I was. :P

Family
My mum and I had a more cordial relationship in 2008 as compared to 2007. Maybe because I spend less time at home, and thus the time spent together was really precious and we don't pick on each other's flaws. The thing is, I think in some aspects, we're too similar to each other. That's why we don't get along when we see too much of each other.

We went on a family trip - my granny, mum, 2nd aunt and her husband, and my three cousins - for my mum's cousin's wedding in Taiwan - Taipei and Jin Men. It was like a cultural exchange and it was a good family trip all in all. I had a great time catching up with my cousin - the 2nd eldest, I'm the eldest - and it was awesome. Just like the good old times when we were young and would stay up late just for the sake of it cos the adults said we were too young to. But it's a bit diff now, we went out on our own at night and all. Well, we both ARE old already. :P

Health
It ain't been that good man. I fell sick so much, and just before 2008 ended, I found out some shocking news. Well, I'm not dying. Just that it won't be an easy road for myself. :) Guess that's a blessing! :)

Also, not sure if this is related to health, but maybe cos soooo many of my friends have kids already (aka Iky, Pris and one of my sec sch mates), I feel like having one too! But I'm still not ready to get married. How strange to be ready for a kid but not for marriage! :P So I told the boy that I wanna baby in 2009 but I'm not ready to marry him. I think he flipped and I think if it really happens, my family would too. :P

Misc
I'm better with my finances (mainly cos of the boy) and don't spend as crazily as I used to. In fact, I could buy my diamonds without having to think if I'll be broke! :P The old me used to spend every single cent I have. So I guess the boy's a good influence.

Zouk-wise, I barely went in 2008. Maybe a max of 10 trips? *hahaha* Amazing isn't it? For someone who used to go at least 3 times a week! That saved me a hell lot of money! :)

I went from being dresses-crazed to diamonds-crazed. Let's hope my increment this year (despite us being in recession), will be a reasonable one. :P

Career
I'm hoping for another promotion and another increment despite this challenging economic climate.

I'm also hoping that I would continue to learn and grow and be an excellent PR professional.

Er... And that I will start completing my timesheets on time.

Oh, and punctuality's always been an issue. *hahaha*

Romantic Relationship
To continue to be committed to this relationship, and that we will reach a mutual understanding with each other. Commitment is something that I've always been afraid of. The fact that I was able to do it for 10mths last year, I hope I can continue to do it.

And I hope he can continue to treasure me and love me and respect me.

Honestly, I just want us to be able to continue to be each other's soulmate, best friends, lover, and more.

Friends
There are some friends I would love to keep for life. And they are the ones I've met up with more than once last year. :)

In 2009, I want to be able to spend more time with these friends and let them know that I treasure them a lot.

I think they would know who they are! :)

Family
I hope that my relationship with my mum will be better this year.

And I would also like to spend more time with my granny and my cousin - Cheng Wei. :)

Health
Hopefully, all will be fine. Let's all cross our fingers, toes and eyes. :)

Misc
Well, my finances are on track doesn't mean my savings are awesome. :P I hope to have more savings this year compared to last!

And that I'll continue to keep to minimal Zouk visits. :)

Also, shopping of dresses should be capped to 2 per month? I think that's reasonable considering my craziest was 12 a month last year! Unless, I'm overseas of course! :P

I hope my diamond collection will grow, and that I will get a solitaire pendant this year. :P (Too bad the boy doesn't read my blog. *sighs*)

Went into Larry's and Lee Hwa today.

My gawd. I'm in love. Oh so in love.

I tried on a full tennis bracelet - Grade D, VVS1. Costs about $11-12K.

Since the diamonds are not that big, and you can't really tell the color difference, I'm considering getting just a Grade E-F or F-G.

Grade E-F: $9K+++
Grade F-G: $8K+++

Those are the prices at Destinee. Not too sure about those at Larry's.

Also, I saw a 3.2 carat solitaire ring at Larry's. Costs $179K!!! Like OMFG!

*sighs* I'm soooooo in love.

Now I only own a pair of solitaire earrings and my very new addition - a pendant - also from Destinee.

A full tennis bracelet would make a nice addition to my collection no? Or maybe a ring... But I always have this silly belief that a diamond solitaire ring must be a proposal ring. :P
